| But
as good as these two nutrients are, they often don’t work. In fact, studies
show that as many as half the people who take them see little or no benefit.
That’s why
I’m so happy to tell you about the scientific research on a powerful new
joint nutrient … one that can work even when glucosamine and chondroitin
fail.
Like glucosamine
and chondroitin, this nutrient reduces discomfort, eases stiffness, and helps
re-generate cartilage. But unlike those nutrients, this one seems to work even
better in people who have more severe cartilage loss!
What’s more,
this nutrient cause your body to produce the four types of collagen in the exact
same proportions that are found in normal healthy joints!
So what is this
amazing nutrient? Believe it or not, it’s a special extract made from soy
and avocado oils. This extract is called avocado-soy unsaponifiables.
Un-sap-o-what?
Un-sap-on-i-fi-ables.
I know it’s a mouthful. But it’s easy to say if you
just remember that sapon is the Latin word for soap. Quite simply,
a saponifiable is something that’s used to make soap!
Most
soaps are made by taking a vegetable oil and adding alkali to
it. The part of the oil that makes the soap is called the saponifiable,
and the part that’s left over is called the un-saponifiable.
Get it?
Chemists
have known for years that the unsaponifiables of soy and avocado
are rich in plant sterols.
Could
these plant sterols make a good supplement for joint support?
A team of European researchers decided to put it to the test.
What they found amazed them:
The extracts actually helped
re-generate cartilage!
* In
one study, researchers added the soy-avocado extract to a test
tube containing human cartilage cells. In just 9 days, the extract
increased the production of aggrecan, a key component of cartilage.
* In
another study, Australian researchers compared sheep with normal
knees to sheep with damaged knee joints. Half the sheep were then
given the soy-avocado extract and half were not. At the end of
6 months, the sheep receiving the extract had thicker cartilage
than the control group.
* And
in two large-scale human studies, over 200 patients were given
soy-avocado extract or a placebo for 3 months. Result: those taking
the extract reported greater mobility and less joint stiffness.
So
far, 9 different studies have been done on this amazing plant
extract. And all 9 have found it effective. In fact, doctors in
Europe have been giving it to their patients and are reporting
impressive results.
Here
in the U.S., the extract is just now becoming available, and as
far as I know it’s not yet available in stores. I expect
that to change as word gets out. Unfortunately, whenever a new
product is introduced, lots of poor-quality imitations appear.
I have no doubt that some manufacturers will take ordinary soy
and avocado oils and try to pass it off as the real thing.
Fortunately,
you don’t have to settle for inferior imitations. And you
don’t have to wait for it to come to your local health food
store, either.
That’s
because we’ve added avocado/soy extract to Women's Preferred’s
Advanced Joint Support. Advanced Joint Support contains the highest
quality soy-avocado unsaponifiables we could find.
First
of all, the extract used by Women's Preferred contains the same
exact proportions of soy and avocado as the extract used in the
European and Australian studies.
Second,
our extract is tested by an independent laboratory to guarantee
it has a high concentration of plant sterols. In fact, it’s
actually a little higher than what was used in the studies!
Third,
our extraction process removes all the undigestible fiber from
the soy and avocado unsaponifiables. This ensures that the extract
is more absorbable by your body.
But that’s not all.
In addition to soy-avocado
unsaponifiables, Advanced Joint Support contains
4 other key ingredients:
Turmeric.
You may know turmeric as the cooking spice that’s used to
give rice a yellow color. But turmeric does much more than color
food: It’s a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals
that may invade your joints. In fact, one study found that the
active ingredient in turmeric protects cells with even greater
efficiency than vitamin E, beta carotene, or alpha lipoic acid!
Boswellia.
Also known as Indian frankincense, boswellia has been used for
centuries in Indian Ayurvedic medicine to maintain healthy joints.
And
modern science shows that boswellia works by increasing blood
flow to the joints. Studies show that people taking boswellia
reduced their morning joint stiffness, while increasing mobility
and grip strength.
Ginger.
Like boswellia, ginger has also been used for centuries to support
healthy joints. And like boswellia, it has recently been subjected
to the rigors of modern science. Clinical trials show that as
many as three-quarters of subjects taking ginger reported feeling
a benefit.
Glucosamine
sulfate. No joint support formula would be complete without
glucosamine, the amino sugar that’s been the subject of
dozens of clinical studies.
Advanced
Joint Support contains 500 mg of glucosamine sulfate 2KCl, a water-soluble
form of glucosamine which provides excellent absorption. And like
all Women's Preferred ingredients, our glucosamine is constantly
tested to ensure that you get the highest purity available.
So
there you have it. 5 powerful ingredients that can help support
healthy joints. And just as important as what you will find in
Advanced Joint Support is what you won’t find.
Why doesn’t Advanced Joint
Support contain
chondroitin, MSM, or bromelain?
Chondroitin
is very hard for the body to digest and assimilate. Research shows
that while about 90% of glucosamine is absorbed when taken orally,
only about 5% of chondroitin is absorbed! In addition, some people
who take it report mild gastric distress and blood thinning. We
stopped using chondroitin in our joint formula over 2 years ago
and have not received a single customer complaint!
Bromelain,
an enzyme from pineapples, is good at supporting healthy joints.
Unfortunately, some people who take it get diarrhea and other
gastric distress. Other people are allergic to bromelain. In fact,
some people who take it develop cross-allergic reactions to wheat,
carrots, ragweed, and certain pollens!
If
you like bromelain and it’s safe for you, feel free to take
it. But with the 5-in-1 support already in Advanced Joint Support,
taking bromelain shouldn’t be necessary.
As
for MSM, while some people swear by it, many others find it brings
them little or no relief. At this time, there is little hard data
on its effectiveness. And what little data there is suggests that
you would need to take 1,000 mg — many times more than what’s
found in most brands.
Lots
of supplement companies pile on ingredient after ingredient, figuring
they’ll dazzle you with the sheer number of ingredients
in the formula. We’d rather select the handful of ingredients
that really work … and then make sure we provide adequate
amounts of each.
Thousands
of men and women in Europe have benefited from these ingredients.
And now you can, too.
Imagine
how great it’ll feel to wake up in the morning free of joint
stiffness. You find yourself rolling out of bed, eager to face
the day. You can start to enjoy your favorite activities and hobbies
once again. You can open jars and even lift your grandkids. The
list goes on.
Your
life could improve dramatically. That’s why I urge you to
give Advanced Joint Support a try.
